My cousin's room (that I'm staying in) was so cold! ; n ; I need a heater asap. Once I get under the covers to sleep it'll be all good though, I'm sure. So for the past few days I've been helping with thanksgiving and relaxing at my aunt's (though the horribly cold nights are far from relaxing). Anyways:
Wednesday
Front: Breast, "SPR" hips "Celestial Punker" Back: DRIVEN MAD you and I are accomplices |
My Aunt picked me up at about 10:30AM, To refrain from sticking it in one of the two bags i brought, I work my Parka, (it was cold anyways). I never really noticed but I need a non written on warm jacket. I always forget there's writing all over this one and in the end my outfit looks odd having something cute under and then Sex Pot Revenge for a jacket. It's my warmest one though aha,and I really do like it I need to go back to JCPenny because they have nice ones half off.
Moving on to our day, We went to Micheal's and picked up stuff. She ended up buying me some glue for deco because I was all out. I'm trying a new brand she using for crafts called "E-6000". I looked up some reviews and it seems to be nice. I'll post a personal review~~. We bought place cards and stuff along with it. After getting some Starbucks we got home, ate this DELICIOUS artichoke dip, and then got down to baking. We made a Mississippi Mud Pie, curtsy of Paula Deen, AKA my butter fairy. Recipe here, Warning: THIS IS A TWO MAN JOB.
The process was long (even says on directions it'd take 4 hours) and dirty. I got cocoa powder all over so i ended up putting on a cute snowman apron. it had frill at the bottom too~ Very cute! We started working on the filling, and ones the cake baked we put the filling in and stuck the cake in the freezer since all the fridges were filled with pies and a turkey~ The rest of the cake got finished Thursday.
Some family members came over after wards and we all got pizza, and worked a puzzle. I think puzzles are sort of out holiday tradition. When ever my Uncle's mom stays over she brings puzzles. This one had corks and was pretty hard with some absurd shaped pieces ; n ; we finished at maybe 9 and I put the last piece in since I hid it, aha~ After that I went to bed, but it took a super long time because it was FREEZING.
Thursday
I woke up at about 8:30AM because I've always had a hard time spending the night somewhere and not sleeping in late. It was so cold too, I went down stairs and my Aunt made eggs, bacon, and walnut bread for me and everyone staying. It was super good, aha to pass the time i knitted a scarf and went back upstairs to work on a college project. I ended up not doing much of any of it though after getting distracted by cute things.
Anyways, after my aunt got done, we took the cake out and it was nice and solid, it let it softened some and made the frosting, iced it, and sprinkled on pecans and marsh mellows.
~Results~ |
After that we got down to the thanksgiving food. I didn't help so much, I stirred the cranberry sauce and saw it was 2:30 so i went to get ready.
I didn't do my eye makeup heavy, sweater was a striped brown and white that went down pretty far. |
When I finished getting ready, I saw the time was 1:20. (つд`) I realized the time before was a unstarted timer on the microwave OTL. So i put a apron on and helped some more. our results were~~
My Grandma made the cute penguins with olives, cream cheese, and carrots |
We have 19 guests, it was a fun workout shuffling around a just a 2 yard area back and forth setting up plates and silverware the right was, haha.
After eating we worked on a new wolf puzzle (which I left before it finished) and then tried the cake~
It was so good, but so rich ; n ; i had a couple bits at a time.
Well, That's how my thanksgiving went. Hope everyone also had a great one
XOXO, REI
