Little Tokyo

Happy Sunday and I hope you all enjoy your Veteran's Day break!

Last week, I took a trip with our "International Flavor" club to Little Tokyo.
I go every few months or so, but there were several new stores here! Even Puri Kura!

First, our small group was allowed a limit of 12 dollars each for our meal. So, we stretched our money a bit by splitting different dishes and sharing so we could try new things. We Picked Suehiro to eat at and it was absolutely delicious!
Squid special, Miso Soup, and Vegetable Gyoza
Veggie and Shrimp Tempura, Chicken Katsu, and Beef in Garlic Sauce

Suehiro's walls are all decorated with drawings from their customers, all very different and interesting! They also had a wall that gauged all the donations they sent out for the Earthquake in Japan.

We then went to all the little stores!

All their new stores are so modern and clean, I hope more stores go into their little mall.
u v u It was really sad seeing only a few in there, but now it's becoming so big and nice!
We spent only about 2 hours there, so my friend and I plan to go back one weekend and enjoy ourselves a bit better. None the less, it was a great school trip!

Huntington Library Trip

Last Thursday my AP English class took a trip to the Huntington Library

"A private, nonprofit institution, The Huntington was founded in 1919 by Henry E. Huntington, an exceptional businessman who built a financial empire that included railroad companies, utilities, and real estate holdings in Southern California. Huntington was also a man of vision – with a special interest in books, art, and gardens. During his lifetime, he amassed the core of one of the finest research libraries in the world, established a splendid art collection, and created an array of botanical gardens with plants from a geographic range spanning the globe."

The place had many separate gardens, libraries which scholars all around the word study first edition books and written memoirs of famous authors, many galleries of US and Foreign art, and building were current artists can hold exhibits. Since English 3 focuses on US composition, and since we are also in AP US History, we only toured the US art gallery and then we were given a small hour to go wherever we wished.

The images above belong to my friend, :C I left my camera in the bus because purses weren't allowed.

I was interested in the anatomy section of the library, they had books about early developments of authors drawing and trying to figure out what the inside of the human body looked like.

We played around in the camelia gardens :>, our supervisor was really anal , so you could find us being smart asses and taking silly photos to lighten up the mood. We also didn't go everywhere because the supervisor was so serious about getting back when needed :< alot of other groups told us they went everywhere!

*~*~*~I was having a dandy old time though u v u ~*~*~*
I think I've posted myself in this exact outfit before? I don't remember.
The blouse is H&M and the Peter-Pan collar is Handmade

All in all I wish we could have been there longer!!
My friends and I want to go back this summer, since the first Thursday of each month is free.

Bye bye!

Oklahoma 2011 in a nutshell

Hey dolls! I missed everyone so so much
I was super excited to be home~~Oklahoma was nice but I can only stand being away from home for so long
There were some challenges but everyday ended up being enjoyable!

(´ヘ`;) a few off things would have to be how humid and hot it was there, so my makeup felt nasty and I broke out a bit, I was drinking gallons of water too! The upsides overcame those faults though.
The view was really nice! My Aunt's new house~ my sister and I walked until the grass got taller, because there's alot of biting bugs there.( ’ㅅ’)~*

They also have alot of great stores out in my Aunt's area! My grandma gave us money to spend and have a good time, and with the great prices  I ended up with alot of things.
Everything but the palette came from Ulta, All I ever do is get browns so I decided to step out of that and get pinks from nyx! That lip gloss was pretty nice until it opened and melted all over my top (ノ_・。)
The Palette is from Glamifeye (sp*? I don't have it next to me) and was originally 10, but I got it for 5 at this store called Gordmans, it's like Ross on steroids! *A* I plain to review these products on Miel❤ Maquillage
Then right by Gordmans there was a one dollar accessory story. I got alot of new earrings, necklaces, and hair things  .

A few days from arriving we took a road trip to Arkansas, to the Crescent Hotel. If you watch Ghost Hunters, you'll know this place is pretty "haunted". We stayed in a balcony room which had nice view of the front. Also we too their Ghost Tour. no ghost caught though haha! They had very cool stories of ghost history though.

This area on Arkansas relies on their income by tourism, so they have this great downtown area that sells food, clothes, and antiques. i ended up getting a Anna Sui bag (small) and this nice necklace, I'll share pictures in another post!

So then we went BACK to Oklahoma, did more stuff, and took a one day trip to Dallas, Texas and ate at the Rain Forest cafe in the Grapevine Mills mall. I found 3 dollar harem pants! there were on sale at Papaya, I also got a 5 dollar top which will be posted some other time I guess
The rest of the trip was just driving around places and eating lol.
I had a really great time, and I was so happy to see California again~
Now, I'm ready to go hang out, get back to working out, and meeting new people!
